The Opportunity
We are on the hunt for an HR and Training Manager to add to our consulting team. This client facing consulting position will work with up to 50 of our hospitals located across the US to assist them in facing the challenges that come with staff management and training, HR, client service, and practice leadership. This individual will work side by side with a team of analytics and marketing specialists, creating a management services team that can truly elevate a veterinary practice. As a result, all team members must be truly collaborative people, willing to lean on those around them for assistance and guidance, but also willing to offer their own experience and problem solving skills to help the team as well.

This is a “remote consulting” position, meaning we work in our office in Portland, OR and consult via phone, email, and video conferencing. Therefore, the chosen candidate must have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to empathize and trouble shoot hospital issues in a respectful, collaborative manner. The chosen candidate must live in or be willing to relocate to Portland, OR upon accepting the position. There will be some travel required for occasional on-site visits with the practices.

What it takes: 
- At least 6 years experience as a VETERINARY Practice Manager
- At least 8 years experience in the VETERINARY field
- Authorization to work in the United States without restriction
- Dependable attendance in our office in Downtown Portland, OR

Our ideal hire will have: 

CVPM/ DVM/ RVT/ CVT/ LVT licensure
SPHR/ PHR/ SHRM-SCP/ SHRMP-CP certification
Multiple veterinary practice manager positions
A background in dealing with common and complex HR challenges
A bachelors degree from an accredited university
Regional leadership experience
