The Office Manager’s performance will aid in the practice's success through quality patient care and exceptional client service. This is accomplished through proper management and training of the support team. 

The successful candidate will have previous leadership or management experience and at least 2 years of experience in a veterinary hospital setting.  The successful candidate will:

  • Have a proven track record of leading a team
  • Have at least 2 years previous veterinary experience (prefer a Vet Asst or Vet Tech)
  • Work well under pressure and be able to multi-task
  • Manage high stress and fast-paced days with professionalism
  • Be approachable and compassionate to clients and team members
  • Excel at providing outstanding customer service
  • Be able to lead team meetings, train the front office staff and motivate others
  • Be able to lift to 40 lbs. unassisted

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Supervise Receptionists and acts as front office support.
  • Review Reception applications, screen applicants, and narrows the applicant choices through the interview process.
  • Work to develop team through positive and productive training techniques.
  • Act as a liaison between doctors, team members, and clients.
  • Intervene/oversee/prevent personnel issues in the Reception department and assist with conflict resolution.
  • Check invoices daily for accuracy.
  • Prepare bank deposits daily.
  • Manage and maintain hospital inventory
  • Monitor staff periodically throughout the day, encourage productivity, and discourage behaviors that may be detrimental to the work environment's positive atmosphere.
  • Assist the Practice Manager and Practice Owner with other duties as needed.
