Occidental Veterinary Hospital is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Part-Time Veterinary Technician or Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our supportive, non-corporate team in the beautiful town of Occidental, CA.

Pay: $26–$32/hour (DOE)

What You'll Be Doing

We're looking for a skilled technician who can jump in and make an immediate impact. Responsibilities include:

• Placing IV catheters and monitoring anesthesia
• Performing dental cleanings and taking high-quality dental radiographs
• Preparing patients for surgery and assisting during procedures
• Calculating fluid rates and medication dosages
• Providing compassionate nursing care to hospitalized patients
• Assisting veterinarians with appointments and patient restraint
• Helping keep the hospital clean, organized, and running smoothly

What We're Looking For

• Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) preferred, but experienced Veterinary Technicians are encouraged to apply
• At least 2 years of veterinary experience (more is always welcome!)
• Strong technical skills and confidence in your abilities
• Excellent communication and client service skills
• A reliable, team-oriented professional who takes pride in their work
• Someone who is dependable, follows through, and wants to be part of a positive, collaborative team
